Tubs

We service all major brands of tubs. Repairing or replacing a valve, clearing a clogged drain line, to installing a new tub. We have the knowledge to get the job done right the first time.

Drains: A tub requires a 1-½” drain line, that is connected to a waste and overflow kit. All tub should be set into a bed of mortar for support, and should have hangers or a wood ledger on the back and side walls. This prevents any sagging which causes damage to the tub and its grout joints. Cracked grout joints can allow water to enter behind the tub and cause water damage to ceilings, baseboards, or floors.

In-Wall Valves: These valves have a series of washers, stems, seats, and or cartridges that are not visible. These items are usually inside the wall or behind trim plates, handles, or escussions. If you notice water stains in ceilings, on base boards, or on flooring, it may be time to have the in-wall valve looked at. If you have a lose in water pressure you may have debris in the cartridge or in the water piping itself. These Items can be diagnosed easily by a professional.

Trim: The installation of the trim is very important as well. All trim plates or escussions need to be sealed to prevent water from entering the wall and causing damage. Most trim plates have what is called a “weep hole“. The weep hole should not be sealed, for it is designed to allow any water entering around the plate to exit.

Jacuzzi or Jetted: With the use of a pump, air switch, and jets you can have a great spa experience. Always remember to fill you tub with water over the jets before turning on your pump. With control of the air switch you can adjust the pressure of the jets. All pumps should plug into a GFI plug, If your pump does not turn on this GFI may have tripped. Always refer to your owners manual, or call a professional before attempting to service the unit.

Options: Handheld sprayers, body sprayers, over head shower heads, and steam units are items that can be installed into your shower area.
